Payal Sharma graduated from an accelerated 5 year BSN to MSN program at Simmons College.
She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society in Nursing. After graduating with her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012, she worked in Family Medicine for a few years in Boston, Massachusetts. After getting married, Payal moved to New York City. She transitioned from Medicine to Surgery with a primary focus in Bariatrics at Mount Sinai, where she helped launch a new weight loss program. She is a Certified Bariatric Nurse. Currently, she works as a Nurse Practitioner in the Gastrointestinal and Metabolic Surgery department at New-York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine.
Her eagerness to continue learning and growing led her to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
