Chris Chantler, RN MS CEN, is currently Director of the Emergency Department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
He began his career in nursing leadership at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA before moving to New York City to assume the role of Nurse Manager at NYU Langone Medical Center, a position he held for 5 years. Time spent at various organizations, both as a staff nurse, and as a leader, has led to an interest in organizational culture, and the way it impacts delivery of safe and reliable care for patients.
Chris received a BA from University of Washington in 2000. In 2003, he received a BS from Columbia University School of Nursing. Most recently he completed his MSN with an emphasis on nursing leadership at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing.
