Student Information
The global field experiences offered by the Office of Global Affairs and Planetary Health enables MSN specialty students to learn first-hand about global and planetary health. Students will have the opportunity to develop interprofessional healthcare relationships, explore different cultures and become globally educated and culturally knowledgeable registered nurses and nurse researchers.
Classes
Students are expected to enroll in two required seminar courses: NURS3230 offered in the spring semester of your first-year specialty and NURS3240 offered in the fall semester of second-year specialty.

- Atiak, Uganda – Summer: Jun 26 to Jul 21 (4 weeks)
- Panama City, Panama – Summer: Jun 26 to Jul 13 (2.5 weeks)
- Sukadena, Indonesia – Summer: Jun 26 to Jul 13 (2.5 weeks)
- Farafangana, Madagascar – Summer: Jun 26 to Jul 13 (2.5 weeks)

Prepare to Travel
Complete all the items on the checklist on e-value.
- Log in with your Yale Net ID and password
- Required documents to review/complete/upload include:
- Passport (Current for at least six months beyond your planned return date)
- Visa and travel authorization
- Yale ISOS and travel insurance
- Pre departure orientation
- Health and vaccination records
- Yale travel registration and travel tracker
- Travel self-assessment
- You are advised to disclose disabilities, mental health, medical conditions or accommodation requirements to your faculty lead so they can provide appropriate assistance and support.
