Financial Aid Application Forms

U.S. citizens and permanent residents

YSN students eligible for U.S. federal student aid need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the YSN Financial Aid Application.

  • • For the 2019-2020 FAFSA, you will need information from your 2017 tax return or, if you did not file a federal tax return for 2017, your 2017 income information.
  • • Yale’s FAFSA code is 001426.
  • • If you filed a 2017 tax return and are eligible to use IRS Data Retrieval in the FAFSA, we recommend that you do so.
  • If you did not file a 2017 income tax return, please fill out the 2019-2020 Income Verification Document

 All eligible U.S. citizens and permanent residents seeking financial aid are required to complete the FAFSA. There is no separate application for YSN scholarships.

Veterans and active service members may be interested in education benefits made available by the U.S. government. YSN participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

International citizens

International students, who are ineligible for U.S. federal student aid, must complete both the International Student and YSN Financial Aid Applications; if they choose to apply for YSN scholarships:

Deadlines

Returning students should submit the FAFSA, YSN Financial Aid and/or International Student Finanical Aid Applicaitons by April 1.

New students who have not yet received a financial aid award letter should submit the FFAFSA, YSN Financial Aid and/or International Student Financial Aid Applications as soon as possible.
