As Associate Director of Student Services, Melanie Pagán serves as the YSN Registrar and will develop Student Services programs for the YSN community. Prior to YSN, Melanie worked at the University as the Manager of Graduate Residence Life at the Yale Graduate Housing department.
A native of Chicago, IL, Melanie completed her undergraduate degree in Art History and Sociology at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. Before Yale, Melanie worked at Connecticut College, Columbia University, and the Art Institute of NYC in various departments including multicultural affairs, housing, and admissions. She currently serves as a co-chair of the Yale Latino Networking Group and most recently became a Fellow of Ezra Stiles College. Additionally, Melanie is a Master of Science in Education candidate at Baruch College in New York, NY, focusing on Higher Education Administration. She is involved with the ACPA – College Student Educators International and sits on the board for the ACPA Latino Network. She has presented on first-generation student retention initiatives and will be presenting in March on graduate student services and residence life.
