YSN in Media: LaRon Nelson on Health Disparities

Associate Dean for Global Affairs and Planetary Health LaRon Nelson, PhD, RN, FNP, FNAP, FAAN was recently interviewed by The Toronto Star newspaper for his expertise on how to reduce health disparities in Black communities. Nelson described the skepticism toward a vaccine among Black people as a “healthy response to histories of mistreatment that Black communities have experienced at the hand of health-care systems and governments.”
