New Haven Promise Scholar
Students and faculty celebrated new inductees at the end of the spring semester.
The Delta Mu chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International National Honor Society of Nursing welcomed 76 new student inductees on May 15 at Amarante’s Sea Cliff in New Haven.
Chartered in 1980, the chapters values are focused on recognizing superior achievement, developing leadership qualities, fostering high professional standards, encouraging creative work, and strengthening commitment to the ideas and purposes of the profession.
Linda Honan Youth Leader Scholarship Award
Named for Professor Emeritus Linda Honan ’89 MSN, PhD, CNS-BC, RN, ANEF, FAAN the Youth Leader Scholarship Award winners are Aniya Swindell of Wilbur Cross High School and Leslie Redfearn of Hill Regional Career High School.
Dorothy Sexton Mentorship Award
Wendy U. and Thomas C. Naratil Professor of Nursing Nancy Banasiak, DNP, PNP, PPCNP-BC, APRN, was honored with the Dorothy Sexton Mentorship Award.
Delta Mu Research Grant
The organization’s research grant was awarded to doctoral students Samuel Akyriem and Na Ouyang.
